چکیده

This paper presents the design, analysis, and simulated results of a three stage low power op-amp in a 0.25μm CMOS process technology. The op-amp overcomes the problems of cascading stages under low supply voltage by using modified active-feedback frequency compensation. This op-amp operates over a common-mode voltage (Vcm)from 0 to 0.6V, a supply voltage (Vdd) of 1.5V ±5%, a temperature range from 27 oC to 85 oC, and with a unity gain frequency of approximately 150 MHz. The op-amp is designed to drive a 2pF load. At nominal conditions (Vcm=0.3 V, Vdd = 1.5 V, temp = 27 oC), the DC gain is 91 dB. Multistage Amplifier Topologies with Nested G/sub m/-C Compensation - Solid-State Circuits, IEEE Journal of

This paper presents a multistage amplifier for low-voltage applications (<2 V). The amplifier consists of simple (noncascode) low gain stages and is stabilized using a nested transconductance-capacitance compensation (NGCC) scheme. The resulting topology is similar to the well known nested Miller compensation (NMC) multistage amplifier, except that the proposed topology contains extra Gm feedfo...

Frequency Compensation of Two Stage Op-Amp using Triode Mode Compensation Stage

A frequency compensation technique for the improvement of unity gain bandwidth (UGB) and power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of two stage operational amplifiers is presented in this paper. Performance of proposed op-amp is compared with classical miller compensated op-amp and op-amp proposed by G. Blakiewicz [13]. The technique exploits the triode mode operation of a MOSFET in the compensation ...

High Performance Op Amp Design – Review

In a never-ending effort to reduce power consumption and gate oxide thickness, the integrated circuit industry is constantly developing smaller power supplies. Furthermore, in an effort to reduce costs and integrate analog and digital circuits onto a single chip, MOS devices are used in the weak inversion region or the subthreshold inversion region to minimize dc source power. A feasible config...

Design and Performance analysis of Low power CMOS Op-Amp

This paper proposes a low power CMOS operational amplifier which operates at 1.8 V power supply. The unique behavior of the MOS transistors in sub-threshold region not only allows a designer to work at low input bias current but also at low voltage. While operating the device at weak inversion results low power dissipation but dynamic range is degraded. Designing of two-stage Op-Amp is a multi-...

Proposed Telescopic Op-Amp with Improved Gain

Before venturing further on the design of our operational amplifier, the first line of business is to determine the optimal topology for the given specifications. The factor that clearly stands out is the high dynamic range requirement of 85 db. Several topologies are given for this task, among these telescopic op-amp is selected. Compensation techniques are used with two stage topology of tele...
